The cost of car insurance for young people is very high. It’s thought that Northern Ireland is one of the most expensive regions in the UK.

There is not a lot of competition among insurers to sign up young people, and inexperienced drivers are a higher risk. Now an insurance company in Britain has come up with a scheme aimed at under 25’s to measure how good a driver someone is.

The better you are, the less you’ll pay is the idea.

Now that's an idea WIMPS would like to see in Northern Ireland.
