New WIMPS launch
Recruitment for the first WIMPS Crew from outside Belfast has been launched at the Millennium Forum in Derry.
Young people interested in media, journalism and politics were there along with elected representatives from the city. The new Crew will meet for the first time on Monday evening 25 July from 6 to 8 pm in the Cottage in the Craft Village on Shipquay Street.

WIMPS is looking for young people from all backgrounds with an interest in media and politics who want to make their voices heard.
By the end of 2012 we plan to have 20 new Crew.
WIMPS Crew, Coaches and Staff were at the Millennium Forum to talk about the project and plans to start this brand new Crew.
WIMPS is open to any young people who want to become more engaged in making their communities better, to help make politics more relevant and to build campaigns. There is no lower age group, but most members of WIMPS are between 17 and 21.
