Texting Whilst Driving? Get the Message!
‘Message Received’, a short film created by a group of young people from Banbridge with WIMPS.tv.
The film is about safety whilst driving and being aware of the risks of distracting the driver.
The shoot involved emergency services and was made in partnership with the Local Police Service, including the District Policing Partnership, The Fire Service, The Order of Malta, REACT, WIMPS and Driving Change Project.
The film was shot in venues around Banbridge and includes young people from the area.
Tom Pryme, a young person involved says, 'In general the experience gave me a lot of information on road safety and gave me the opportunity to meet new people, develop new skills and fulfil a dream of starring in a film! I feel the end result was well done, well acted and edited, a very pleasing production. I got to enjoy the day on the set especially in the back of the police van, which became a fun experience'
Niamh McDermott from WIMPS Belfast Central crew played the lead female role along with Jason Murphy.
