£27k Car Insurance for Young Driver
As car insurance spirals, young people are hit with massive premiums.
BBC research has found that some young drivers are being quoted up to £27,000 for car insurance.
The BBC NI Consumer Affairs Correspondent reports “More typical rates of £2,000-3,000 still represent a heavy financial burden for many novice motorists.
"The high costs have been attributed to a lack of competition in the sector.
"In Northern Ireland young drivers are insured by just three companies, AXA, Aviva and Quinn Insurance."
