With the National Minimum Wage rising by 15p an hour, 16 and 17 year olds can expect a rise, too

16 and 17 year-olds on minimum wage are to get and extra 4p an hour from October.  That’s £3.68 an hour and the rate for apprentices will increase by 10p to £2.60 an hour.

18 to 20 year-olds will be paid £4.98 an hour – a rise of 6p. The national minimum wage will rise 15p an hour to £6.08.

If you are a 16 year old on minimum wage, how are you planning to spend that extra 4p?
