So guys, Belfast City Council have called for a special council meeting to discuss Lord Mayor Niall Ó Donnghaile’s refusal to present a Duke of Edinburgh award to an Army cadet. He has been asked to apologise for his actions or resign. Should the people of Belfast let this pass as so he didn’t “shirk” his duties “as an Irish Republican”? He’s one of many Public Servants in our country and hes here to represent everyone in Belfast. Do you think the Lord Mayor should resign? Or can this be “fixed” and if so can we be assured that this doesn’t happen again?
