20. Mother speaks out against punishment beatings.

Perhaps the most moving interview of the year. Anna Munster’s son Nicolas was the subject of a paramilitary ‘punishment attack’ three years ago at the hands of the ‘Real IRA’.  He was 15 years old, and apparently the attack was a case of ‘mistaken identity’.  In a moving interview, his mother outlines the impact on Nicolas and his family – and calls for an end to these savage attacks.
