Peace Camp Eviction
Peace protestor Brian Haw is told to move from the grass facing Westminster.
Brian Haw, who has been protesting against war at Parliament Square Gardens for over a decade has lost an appeal against his eviction from the grass on the site.
The mayor of London claims this is for the upcoming wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Mrs Tucker, Haw’s fellow protester who also lives at the camp has said that it is not about removing the camp for the wedding but rather “it is about getting rid of our peace campaign”.
Haw is not required to leave Parliament Square, but must move to the pavement.
Haw is currently in Germany receiving treatment for cancer and a previous request by Mrs Tucker to postpone the appeal date was denied.
