Health Minister Questioned on Suicide
Edwin Poots talks to WIMPS about mental health care.
In Northern Ireland, more people die through suicide than in road traffic accidents.
Members of the Belfast WIMPS Crew are concerned about the number of people - including the high number of young people - who have taken their own lives in recent years.
As Minister for Health, Edwin Poots has the responsibility for mental health services and making sure there is sufficient care in place for people with mental health problems.
Mr. Poots, who was appointed as Health Minister in the Executive following the Assembly Election 2011, spoke to Aobheann Fitzpatrick from Belfast WIMPS in his office at Parliament Buildings.
