New research suggests up to half a million young people have been bullied online or on mobiles.

One thousand teenagers across the UK were questioned for the research by the NSPCC. 12% (just about one person in every eight) said they had been bullied either on line or on their mobiles.

That means with around 5.3 million teenagers in the UK, up to half a million could have experienced bullying at some time on their computers or their mobile phones.

The problem was once experienced in school or work on the street now follows some people 24/7.
